Last week we held our first Charity Golf Day in support of our Charity of the Year, St Margaret’s Hospice. The event was hosted at Taunton & Pickridge Golf Course and in total we had 17 teams of 4 golfers enter.
Teams started registering at 9am and enjoyed a bacon roll before heading out to the first tee at 10am. The first tee saw teams perform their ritual stretches before a team photo and the start. A full photo gallery will be published next week.
While teams were out on the course, Jon from St Margaret’s drew the raffle with prizes ranging from tickets for sporting fixtures to golf merchandise and much more. We also held a silent auction for a Mulberry wallet and a 4 ball at Bath golf club.
As teams returned to the club house they could enjoy a live stream of teams putting out on the 18th hole before a two course dinner was served. In the end the overall winners were GTH, with Cooper Associates coming a respectful second, followed by our own ACM team in third.
We would like to say a massive thank you to all participants, sponsors, the venue, and raffle prize donors. In total we raised over £2,800!
The event was such a success we are already planning next years, in what we hope will now become an annual part of the A C Mole Charitable Trust calendar. Watch out for more details on our social media platforms!
