On Thursday 21st November 2024, Tax Partner, Amanda Gunter and Semi Senior, Oz O’Livey attended the Harry Burden Bursary Awards Lunch in the prestigious Long Room at the Cooper Associates County Ground.

The lunch has taken place annually since the sad passing of Harry Burden from Leukemia just before his eighth birthday in 1995. This is the main fundraising event of the Tony Coles Charitable Trust, who specifically help with the development of youth cricket.

This year’s special guest was Tom Abell, also in attendance was head coach Jason Kerr and Somerset Women’s captain Sophie Luff.

James Hibbert a Somerset County Cricket Pathway U16 player who A C Mole had previously sponsored on his tour to Sri Lanka was receiving the Harry Burden Bursary Award for promising young cricketer. The award is an acknowledgement of his progress, success but also of James’ hard work. The award also helps young cricketers with kit purchase.

Amanda said ‘After an amazing lunch, raffle, auction, heads and tails game and an Q & A with Somerset player Tom Abell, the highlight of the day was watching James pick up his award. We are absolutely thrilled for James here at A C Mole and we can’t wait to hear how he gets on in the 2025 season’.
