At the weekend the A C Mole Community Giving Team linked up with St Margaret’s Hospice to volunteer at their Sunflower Stroll Fundraising event.  The team quickly got involved with carpark management, registering participants, serving refreshments and helping on the St Margaret’s Hospice stall.

In total we helped over 100 people around the 4km course through Longrun Meadow and then enjoyed the performance from Rivertones Harmony Chorus while helping participants plant their sunflower stake in memory of loved ones.

Jo Hall, Director of Fundraising at St Margaret’s Hospice, said “It made the world of difference having the volunteer team from A C Mole.  It meant that my team could focus on putting on a great event, with the right level of volunteer resource in place to help make the day well run, safe and most importantly feel welcoming for our participants and supporters, many of whom are family of patients or who are taking part in memory of a loved one.”

Rebekah Rich, lead volunteer coordinator at A C Mole said “This really was a lovely day and great to be able to help St Margaret’s Hospice put on this event.”

A C Mole are proud to have been able to support St Margaret’s Hospice in this event.

Volunteers are an essential and valued part of the team at St Margaret’s Hospice and thanks to the generous support of over 900 incredible volunteers they can continue to be there for around 5,000 people across Somerset, every year.
