Last week our ACM Community team visited St Giles Animal Welfare Centre.

St Giles Animal Welfare is a not-for-profit organisation which provides a safe and loving environment to animals who need help. They believe that every animal deserves a second chance at their happy ever after, and that is what they are dedicated to achieve.

St Giles Animal Welfare is committed to ensuring every animal receives whatever care it needs at whatever the cost to ensure a successful transition to their ‘forever home’.

Our ACM Community team reached out to St Giles to see how we could help the Welfare centre and they responded that we could volunteer for the day!

Our day started by taking some of the dogs for a long walk. We then helped clean the kennelsbefore spending some time with the cats. After playing with some of the dogs in the enrichment garden, we donned our gardening gloves to plant a sensory garden in the dog enrichment garden and planted new flowers in the Beth Branson Education Hub garden.

Our team had a great morning and the air was filled with chatter of wanting to take all of the cats and dogs home!  Rebecca Oatley, Partner at A C Mole, said “We all enjoy taking part in the ACM Community events and this has been a great opportunity to spend time with some of the rescue animals and contribute to their care.  It has been a truly memorable and impactful experience, leaving our team with a sense of fulfilment and achievement.”

Mark Wiffen, Volunteer Coordinator for St Giles Animal Welfare said “It was wonderful having the team from A C Mole spend a day volunteering with us. Their passion and interest in the animals was evident for all to see and the staff and animals thoroughly enjoyed the extra support. We are also very grateful for the horticultural work they undertook, and the plants they kindly supplied, which has brightened up both the dog enrichment garden and Education Hub garden.”
